Labris Networks is looking for Linux OS / Distro Engineer!
We are a leading network security company specializing in Unified Threat 
Management (UTM)
and DDOS Mitigation solutions. We are looking for an experienced Linux 
OS / Distro Engineer
to join our team and contribute to the development, customization, and 
optimization of our
security-focused Linux distributions.
*Responsibilities*:
● Develop, customize, and maintain Linux-based distributions,
● Optimize the OS for performance, security, and compatibility with 
Labris components.
● Maintain and package kernel modules, drivers, and system services.
● Ensure seamless upgrades, patches, and security updates.
● Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues related to networking, 
security, and
performance.
● Collaborate with the security and networking teams to integrate 
security modules and
applications.
● Automate OS build processes, testing, and deployment.
*Requirements:*
● Proven experience in Linux system development, customization, and 
distribution
maintenance.
● Strong knowledge of Rocky/Alma Linux, CentOS, or RHEL-based distributions.
● Proficiency in Bash scripting, Python, or other scripting languages 
for automation.
● Experience with RPM packaging, systemd, SELinux, and security hardening.
● Familiarity with networking, firewall configurations, and kernel tuning.
● Experience with Kickstart, Anaconda, and OS installation automation.
● Understanding of virtualization and containerization technologies 
(KVM, Docker, etc.).
*Nice to Have:*
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a 
related field
(preferred but not required).
● Experience with UEFI, Secure Boot, and TPM integration.
● Knowledge of XDP, eBPF, or low-level networking optimizations.
● Understanding of DDoS mitigation, DPI, or cybersecurity-related kernel 
tunable
modifications.
