Merhaba,
Bir sure once Linux'un gelistirilmesinde BitKeeper adli kaynak kontrol
programi kullanilmaya baslanmisti.
Bitkeeper ozgur degildi. (Yani free speech'teki gibi bir free yoktu)
Ama ozgur yazilim/Acik Kaynak kod projeleri icin bedavaydi. (free beer'da
oldugu gibi)
Ozgur Yazilim Toplulugu bitkeeper kullanimini surekli elestirdi. Ozgurlugun
teknik ustunlukten daha onemli oldugunu anlatmaya calisti. Ama buna verilen
yanit:"Ozgur yazilim toplulugu daha iyisini uretene dek bunu kullanacagiz"
oldu cogu zaman.
Simdi Bitkeeper firmasi onceki kampanyasini sona erdirdi.
Tarih Stallman'i ve Ozgur Yazilim felsefesini bir kez dahga hakli cikardi...
