asus un nvidia chipsetli 32 mb m64 unu kullaniyorum. sistem RedHat 7.2 ve kurdugum paketler:
NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-3123.rh72up.i686.rpm
NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-3123.i386.rpm
readme dosyasinda yazdigi gibi /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
icindeki deisiklikleri yaptim ancak mesela load module kismina bir satir eklemeniz gerektigini soyluyordu ancak bende zaten eklenmis durumdaydi ama baska bir arkadasim mandrake kullaniyor ve onda eklenmis durumda deildi. yani dagitimlara gore kucuk bir kac fark olabiliyor. ama sunuda soliyim bende kernel paketini kurarken once i386 olanini kurdum cunku dier programlarda genelde fark etmedigi icin onda da fark etmez sanmistim:) daha sonra ondan olabilecegini dusunup i686 i kurdum ve sorunsuz calisiyor suan.
1-/etc/X11/XF86Config-4 dosyasini herhangi bir editorle acin
2-driver kismina "nv" yazan yeri "nvidia" yapin
3-module kismina Load "glx" eklein. (ben yapmadim bunu)
4- XF86Config-4 dosyasinin en ust kisminda bulunan Load "dri" ve Load "GLcore" satirlarini silin.
5- ve xwindow unuzu yeniden baslatin. ama makinei reboot etmek bence en saglami:) makine reboot olurkende ve makine acilirken ekraninizda nvidia nin logosunu gorduyseniz tamamdir:)
asagidaki ingilizce olan kisim NVLinuxR25Notes_3123.pdf den alintidir. isteyen olursa tamamini gonderebilirim gerci nvidianin sayfasinda da mevcut:)kolay gelsin.
1 Verify the configuration file that XFree86 is using.
To do so, you can locate a line beginning with ==) Using config file:
in your XFree86 log file (”/var/log/XFree86.0.log”).
2 If you do not have a working XF86Config file, there are several ways to
begin:

package and installed in /usr/share/doc/NVIDIA_GLX-1.0.
You can also use a program such as xf86config. Some distributions
provide their own tool for generating an XF86Config file. (For details on
the XF86Config file syntax, refer to the man page.)
3 If you already have an XF86Config file working with a different driver,
such as the nv or vesa driver, then follow these steps:
a Find the relevant Device section and replace the line:
Driver "nv" (or Driver "vesa")
with
Driver "nvidia"
b In the Module section, verify that you have:
Load "glx"
c Remove the following lines, if they exist:
Load "dri"
Load "GLcore"
4 Once you have configured your XF86Config file, you are ready to restart X
and begin using the accelerated OpenGL libraries.
5 After you restart X, you can run any OpenGL application, which will
automatically use the new NVIDIA libraries
