FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS
ISCIS XVI
Sixteenth International Symposium on Computer and Information Sciences
October 29-31, 2001
Antalya, Turkey

Isik University, Istanbul, Turkey
This is the sixteenth of the ISCIS series of conferences. ISCIS XVI will
be held at a resort hotel in Antalya, Turkey. Antalya is the best known
resort area on the Mediterranean riviera of Turkey. Antalya is very rich
with historical sites and for cultural tourism. Antalya may be reached
by direct flights from most major European cities and from Istanbul. The
weather is usually nice in October in Antalya.
Topics include but not limited to:
Databases and information retrieval
Software engineering
Artificial intelligence and expert systems
Computer and communication networks
Neural networks and adaptive systems
Image processing, pattern recognition and signal processing
Parallel and distributed processing
Computer graphics and computer vision
Theoretical computer science
Important dates:
Submission of full papers: May 25, 2001
Proposals for special sessions: May 25, 2001
Notification of acceptance: June 29, 2001
Submission of ready-to-print papers: July 27, 2001
Papers must not be more than 8 pages of A4 including figures and tables.
All submissions will be electronic. Postscript, Adobe PDF, and MS Word
files will be accepted. Reviewing will be anonymous. You also need to
send two hardcopies to the address below no later than July 27, 2001.
