Subject: Empower Peace
With much of the world in conflict, there need to build bridges of
cultural understanding and mutual
respect is great.
What can young adults do? Peace starts with understanding. And now
there is an avenue for youth to help foster the spirit of mutual
respect and world peace.
We want you to know a new and exciting project. It's entitled,
"Empower Peace." Through the technologies of video conferencing and
on-line streaming, Empower Peace will conduct a series of cultural
exchanges between high school students from countries throughout the
world.
These "live" exchanges or virtual field trips will enable students to
learn first-hand about countries and cultures they may have otherwise
only experienced in school books. All one needs is a computer and the
ability to access the Internet. Empower Peace will also offer other
awesome interactive activities for your class to participate in.
Empower Peace is provided free of charge.
Our first broadcast will feature an exchange between high school
students in Boston, Massachusetts, USA and the Middle Eastern
country, Bahrain. Learn more about Empower Peace, our mission, and
our maiden broadcast by visiting our web site at
http://www.empowerpeace.com.
Go on-line and JOIN Empower Peace today and help to EMPOWER your
students, and students from around the world, to better understand
and respect one another's countries, cultures, and lifestyles.
