Dear Yavuz
I hope you are well and that this is still your correct address!
I am writing to try to get support from you or others in Turkey for an
intiative to the European Union to get them to set up a supercomputer
center, or network of centers, so that all scientists in the EU and
associated countries, of which Turkey is one, can get access to modern
supercomputer facilities. The initiative is taking the form of an
Expression of Interest (EOI) that is to be submitted to the EU within
the next couple of days. This is basically a suggestion for discussion.
It is being organized by Ed Seidel, who runs the numerical relativity
group at this Institute.
I attach a draft of the EOI so you can see what it is about. If you
support this, please write to Ed to support it. This in no way commits
you (or us!) to anything. We are just saying it is good idea at this
stage.

If you want to show this to colleagues in Turkey, please feel free to do
so.
