The focus of the final -global- case studies will need to be relevant to UK
local governments.

accepted "briefs" and case studies for small honorariums.

What project or initiative is making it happen with e-democracy (or an e-
government project with democratic elements)? We are particularly interested
in model projects relevant to local governments and communities. (Our global
case studies will focus on non-UK examples, but all submissions welcome.)
2. Commend an Online Feature or E-democracy Practice

E-democracy in government is often part of a larger online effort. Share
comments and related links on the best implementations of online feature that
enhance democracy and citizen participation.
We are collecting multiple examples of feature and content implementations,
such as e-mail notification systems, special government accountability
content, council processes online, etc. The more examples we can reference,
the easier is will be to share the lessons and techniques.
3. Nominate "Most E-democracy Enabled Governments"

Whether it is a local council, a state agency, or a national portal, nominate
the most e-democracy enabled governments or government organization.
Candidates include those with active e-democracy online features, strategies,
and management or political leadership.
4. Nominate "Most Wired Politicians"

Help us identify elected representatives and appointed public officials who
really get the Internet and use it to a great extent. They might have an
always up-to-date website, connect with citizens via their weblog, interact
with actively with their constituents via e-mail, or lead efforts in their
representative institution or government agency to promote use of ICTs for
democracy. Feel free to nominate yourself. This is not a contest.
5. Share a Local E-Activism Story

At the local level, the Internet is being used by citizens and interest groups
to organize and make their voice heard. Share an e-activism or e-citizen
success story so we can better understand how democracies can better "e-
listen" as well as create mechanisms to mediate conflicts among e-activists.

Join our inner circle of leading e-democracy experts and practitioners. If you
