Belki yardimi olur diye ornek bir samba islem ve konfigurasyonu
gonderiyorum. Adi sambaserver olan bir linux yuklu bilgisayarda samba
calistigini varsayalim. Asagidaki komutla kaya adli kullanici bu
serverin durumunu gorebilir. Bu, bir Win95/98 icin de gecerlidir. Yani
smbclient -L winserver ile adi winserver olan bilgisayarin
paylastirdiklari gorulebilir.

Boylelikle bir win95ten linuxta user olan kisiler kendi home dizinlerine
ve ayrica linuxa bagli olan yaziciya ulasabilmektedirler. Benzer
tanimlamalar linuxtan Win95in paylastirdigi kaynaklara ulasmak icin de
gecerlidir.
Bu da ornek bir printcap dosyasi.
lp:cm=HP Laserjet 5MP:lp=/dev/lp1:sd=/var/spool/lpd:sh:mx#0:
yalnizca tek satir. Bu yaziciyi hem linux uzerinden hem de Win95ler
uzerinden sorunsuz kullanmak olasi. Grafik cikti da alabilirsiniz.
Burada tavsiye edebilecegim printer software'i olarak LPRng
kullanilmasi. Oldukca iyi sonuc veriyor. Text, grafik, postscript gibi
dosyalarin basimini cok kolaylastiriyor. LPRng icin bilgi:
