Hi all,

I'm running Linux 1.0 on a PC Intel 486 compatible and I have some problems with xdm behaviour.
In particular I noticed that starting xdm daemon from /etc/rc.d/rc.6 file (with the command xdm -nodaemon),
when I open a bash session there are some problem in setting the rigth terminal, I think.
Infact, for example, when i read a file using the more utility, the file is cut off to the end of my window
(the scrolling functionality doesn't work).
On the contrary if I start the xdm daemon ("xdm -nodaemon") from the console command line it works correctly.
It seems that using the tcsh shell instead of bash the problem doesn't exist.

Is it a known problem?

Any hints?

Best regards

Stefano Ruberti
